Mid Sussex Working Spaniel Club held our first trial today.

Novice Any variety spaniel at Knole shoot, Kent by kind permission of Mr J Kemp

Judges: Gordon Bowers (A1941) and Lenny Wingfield (B3928)

I would like to thank Mr Kemp for allowing us to use his ground and Mr M Leadbetter, steward of the beat for leading us through the ground.

The ground was perfect for spaniels to show themselves with mixed cover crop that held the birds and woodland . There was an abundance of game – pheasants and partridge – to test the dogs

The weather was perfect for the dogs, handlers and guns.

At the end of the trial only 5 dogs finished
